GENEVA – Kenneth J. Reed, age 84, of Geneva, died Jan. 26, 2019, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born Jan. 17, 1935, in Munson Township, to Alvie and Goldie (nee Apperson) Reed, he has been a lifelong area resident.
Ken was an avid sports fan and proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his children, Joseph Reed, of Harpersfield, and Laura (Edward) Bukky, of Geneva; many grand and great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Debbie Weed, of Kentucky, Penny (Ken) Barnes, of Houston, Texas; and sister Grace Beranek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan; stepson Mark; and many siblings.
The family will receive friends Feb. 1, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., with burial immediately following at Hambden Township. Cemetery.
