Charlotte M. Warner

CHARDON – Charlotte M. “Scottie” Warner (nee Hammond), age 93 of Chardon, died Jan. 26, 2019, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center.

Born May 9, 1925, to Joseph and Bertha (nee Davis) Hammond, in Russell Township, she has been a lifelong area resident.

Scottie was a talented self-taught musician, playing the piano and organ; she was a gifted painter and her passion was roller-skating when she was young.

Scottie was a proud alumni of Chardon High School, was active at the Geauga County Senior Center and appreciated the drivers for Geauga Transit.

She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, R. Mike (Becky) Warner, of Concord Township, Christopher (Susan) Warner, of Newbury Township, and Scott (Theresa) Warner, of Claridon Township; grandchildren, Joseph (Karen) Warner, of Mentor, Rick (Carey) Warner, of Concord, Nikki (Chris) Csepegi, of Chardon, Russell (Christina) Warner, of Chester Township, Katie (Michael) Craig, of Painesville, and Racheal Warner, of Mayfield; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Alison, Ethan, Calvin, Mady, James, Lily and Ben.

Scottie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick;” parents; granddaughter Ashley; and seven siblings.

The family will receive friends Jan. 30, 2019, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a service at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Private burial will be at Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
