BURBANK, CA – On Feb. 1, 2017, Jamie Marie Dvorak, aged 35, died in Burbank, Calif.
Jamie was born on Oct. 22, 1981, to her loving parents, James and Luanne (nee Kalish) Dvorak, at Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Township.
She graduated from Berkshire High School, in 2000, and then attended Kent State University, where she graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Jamie grew up raising animals, socializing with friends and seeing live music. She enjoyed playing basketball and softball.
She worked at University Hospital, after graduating, and then moved to California with a traveling nurse assignment in 2007, and had been living there since.
Jamie is survived by her parents; sisters, Rebecca (Brad) Camposo and Julie (Brett) Porter; and brother Mark (fiancée Amy Green) Dvorak.
She also is survived by her maternal grandmother, Wanda Kalish; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Louis Kalish; and her paternal grandparents, Bernard and Dorothy Dvorak.
The family will receive friends and family on Monday, Feb. 27, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon, with burial to follow at Welton Cemetery, 13970 Goodwin St., Burton.
