EAST CLARIDON – Arline E. (nee Wulf) Holt, age 89, of East Claridon, died on Oct. 24, 2016, at Burton Health Care.
Arline was born in Cleveland, on April 26, 1927, to Albert and Mildred (nee Koepke) Wulf.
She graduated from East High School, in Cleveland, Mount Sinai Nursing School, in 1948, and Heidelberg College, with a Bachelor’s of Arts, in 1952.
Arline worked as a registered nurse at University Hospitals in downtown Cleveland, Geauga Hospital, in the pediatrics department, and for the Metzenbaum Center in Chester Township.
On April 21, 1956, she married Robert Vern Holt at Valley Lutheran Church in Chagrin Falls.
They resided in Russell Township, moving to Claridon Township in 1963.
Robert preceded in death on Jan. 16, 2012.
Arline and her husband enjoyed raising their family in Geauga County. They also enjoyed camping around Ohio and Pennsylvania in their motorhome, day trips and watching sunsets at Fairport Harbor with the grandchildren.
She was an avid reader and also enjoyed the outdoors by walking in the woods, family picnics and gardening.
She was a kind and nurturing person. She had volunteered her time for the Red Cross Bloodmobile and Discovery Shop.
Survivors include her daughters, Melanie (Dan) Yatsko and Cynthia Holt; son, Robert D. Holt; and grandchildren, Brian and Jessica Holt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Richard Wulf.
A time of visitation with the family will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, with a 4 p.m. memorial service at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
