Jeananne Adamic

Jeananne Adamic 92 of Burton passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 2, 1931, in Middlefield, to the late Robert and Mneatha (nee Magee) Buchanan.

She was a former member of the Burton Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion, the Ladies Auxiliary for Burton Volunteer Fire Department and a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church.

Jeananne enjoyed reading, sewing kids clothing, cooking and baking, making the best pies her family has ever had.

She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Judith A. (Joe) Gais, of Burton, Joseph E. (Teresa) Adamic III, of Burton, Robin A. (Paul) Swinney, of Houston, Texas; daughter-in-law, Karen Adamic-Swegman; 15 grandchildren, Arthur, Timothy, Brandi, Christopher, Joseph IV, Stephine, Angel, Rachel, Michael, Mneatha, Brandon, Tanni, Maranda, Megan, Cameron; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Adamic; sons Jeffrey and Michael; siblings, James Buchanan, Janice Murton, Gayle Shafner, Judy Buchanan, Cheryle Buchanan and Anita Rowe.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, from 6-8 p.m., at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township, with Father Jay McPhillips officiating.

Burial will follow the Mass at Welton Cemetery in Burton.
