Barbara Ann Westover, age 82, of Middlefield, passed away Jan. 3, 2024, at Hospice of Western Reserve in Cleveland with her family at her side.
She was born April 15, 1941, in Barnesboro, Pa., to the late Harry and Mary E. (nee Duke) Bogel.
Barbara graduated from Northern Cambria High School in 1959.
She met the love of her life, Francis “Ed” Westover, whom she married June 24, 1961.
She was a rural letter carrier for Middlefield Post Office for 33 years and was active in the family janitorial service, Westover Cleaning.
Barbara enjoyed reading and traveling to all 50 states. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Barbara will be sadly missed by her three children, Robin (David) Carney, Edward (Janice) Westover and Jeffery (Carla) Westover, seven grandchildren, Aaron (Jordan) Callahan-Carney, Marcus (Abigail) Carney, Melinda (Vince) Altiero, Chelsea (Justin) Laferriere, Alyssa Westover, Peter Westover and Nora Westover; and five great-grandchildren, Giada Altiero, Lincoln Laferriere, Amelia Carney, August Westover and Camden Carney.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Jan. 14, 2024, from 3-7 p.m., at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 15, 2024, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township, with Father Jay McPhillips officiating.
A private family burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery at a later date.
