Marjorie L. Dingman, 78, of Burton, passed away peacefully Sept. 7, 2023, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.
Marge was born July 5, 1945, to the late Eber and Virginia (nee Bartholomew) Hyde in Cleveland.
Marge graduated from Berkshire High School and attended Kent State University.
She married Daniel Dingman on Dec. 14, 1968.
She was a medical transcriber at St. Luke’s Hospital and University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, and worked for several doctors’ offices during her career.
Marge loved being a mother and grandmother above all else. She always took care of anyone who needed some extra kindness and support, including many cats and dogs from animal shelters over the years.
Marge also enjoyed camping and vacationing with family and friends, gardening with 10 green “thumbs,” crocheting, feeding the birds and doing puzzles. She never missed a school or athletic event for her sons, granddaughters or as a coach’s wife.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Daniel; sons, John (Wendy) Dingman and Mark (Tammy) Dingman; grandchildren, Katie, Alli, Emily and Kayla; siblings David Hyde, of Big Rapids, Mich., Bill (Anne) Hyde, of Daniel Island, S.C., Elizabeth Siman, of Hiram; and many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Robert Hyde.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Sept. 25, 2023, from 6-8 p;.m., at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.
Her final resting place will be at Welton Cemetery in Burton.
