Scott James Kazsuk

Scott James Kazsuk, age 57, of Willowick, passed away July 14, 2023, at the Cleveland Clinic after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

He was born July 29, 1965, at Geauga Community Hospital, to the late Jerome “Jerry” and Betty Jean (nee Sly) Kazsuk. He resided with the family in their Huntsburg Township home until 1972 when the family moved to their Mayfield Road residence in Munson Township.

Scott graduated in 1984 from Chardon High School.

He last worked for Broadway Excavating, in Bay Village, Local 860.

Scott enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.

He never hesitated to offer his skills and time with projects, repairs or demos to those needing a  helping hand.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Amber Kazsuk, and son-in-law John Hayes, of Willowick; daughter Tina Hess, of Longwood, Fla.; grandchildren, Wyatt Anton and Asher James; sisters, Bonnie Kilvanick, of Burton, and Paula (Christopher) Tomkin, of Margate, Fla.; mother of Amber and Tina, Jeanne Hess, of Willowick; and many lifelong friends and family.

Calling hours will be held at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield, on July 22, 2023, from 1-4 p.m., followed by his memorial service.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date.
