PARKMAN TWP. – Joseph A. Jackson, 69, of Parkman Township, passed away July 18, 2016, with his awesome family by his side.
He was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Warren, to the late Joseph E. and Alice (nee Monroe) Jackson.
He worked for a local plastics company for 36 years.
Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed going to Pennyslvania to watch the elk, and locally looking for wildlife.
He also enjoyed history and searching for Indian artifacts, but above all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Joe will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathie (nee Takacs) Jackson; daughters, Valerie Jackson, of Parkman, and Vanessa (Joe) Tucholski, of Middlefield; son, Joseph R. Jackson, of Geneva; grandchildren, Miranda and Maxwell Warner, and Andrew and Olivia Tucholski; sister, Judy Sly; and several nephews and a niece.
Beside his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dorothy R. Takacs; and uncle and great friend, George Takacs.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 21, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. July 22 at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 16280 Kinsman Road, Middlefield, with Father John Berkley officiating.
Cremation will take place after the service and an inurnment will take place at a later date in Overlook Cemetery, Parkman.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting you take your family out for a special day in remembrance of Joe and the love he had for his family.
