Marjorie M. Taylor, age 84, loving mother of Amy Phelps (husband, Henry), Richard Covell (deceased), Lance Covell and Beth Liff (husband, Scott); devoted grandmother of Cory Phelps (wife, Amber), Tracy Phelps, Dawn Rae Howerton, Rachel Kistemaker (husband, Aaron), Taylor Liff and Jordan Liff; great-grandmother of Ronan, Paige, Ansleigh and Everleigh; dearest sister of Ann Lotshaw (husband, Elmer, deceased) and Marilyn Lucas (husband, Lester, deceased); and former wife of the late Richard Covell.
Marjorie was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Cleveland, and passed away on July 14, 2016.
Marjorie graduated from Chardon High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. She was a speech and hearing pathologist for the Wickliffe Schools for 32 years.
She was a member of the Sheauga Quilting Guild and started the Metzenbaum Speech Therapy program in Newbury Township.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing and shopping, but got the most enjoyment in life from her grandkids.
Marjorie was strong-willed, but sweet, and was always smiling. She will be remembered for her loving and giving nature.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 25 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with burial following at All Souls Cemetery.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marjorie at The DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro), 126 South St., on July 24, from 2-5 p.m.
