NEWBURY TWP. – Franklin G. “Frank” Munn, age 83, a lifelong resident of Newbury Township, passed away June 23, 2016, at Holly Hill Health Care in Newbury.
The son of Carl and Ida Munn, he graduated from Newbury High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served for four years.
Frank worked with a friend in the window cleaning business before working at the family-owned CFL Trucking Co. for many years. Later, he worked at Blair Cartage, then at the Mullet Company.
He was an active, lifelong member and past president of the All American Pony Pullers Association.
His family and friends will miss him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth M. Munn, who was his high school sweetheart; son, Guy (Nancy) Munn; grandsons, Nathan (Courtney), Jonathan (Ashley), Jordan (Chase) and Ryan (Kayla); great-granddaughter, Harper; brothers, Bruce and Carl; brother-in-law, Paul; and sister-in-law, Mary Jo.
His parents precede him in death.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. July 9, until the Celebration of his Life at 12 p.m. at Newbury United Community Church, 14916 Auburn Road, Newbury.
