THOMPSON TWP. – Terri Jean Herbert, age 67, of Thompson Township, passed away on March 19, 2022, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1955, to John and Mary (nee Troha) Gibbons in Euclid.
Terri married the love of her life, Richard, in June of 1978 and was married for 43 years.
She loved the outdoors and was part of many clubs from the Thompson Gardening Club, Women in the Outdoors and lastly, A Girl and A Gun.
She was a dog lover and was passionate about her certified therapy dogs. Terri enjoyed books and was an avid reader.
Terri is survived by her husband, Richard Herbert; siblings, Linda (Joe) Valencic, Mary Jane (Frank) Robers; and many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
She also leaves behind her beloved dogs Abbie and Winnie.
She is preceded by her parents; and sister Dr. Patricia Gibbons.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 4-7 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at St. Patrick Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson.
The family suggest donations be made to the Geauga County Dog Warden, 12513 Merritt Road, Chardon, OH 44024.
