HAMBDEN TWP. – Louis C. Hill, age 75, of Hambden Township, passed away Dec. 13, 2021, at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Born June 12, 1946, to Frederick and Mary (nee Muserallo) Hill in Norwich, N.Y., Louis has been an area resident since 1972.
On May 26, 1973, he married Karen Sue Stemple. They were happily married for 37 years before she departed this earth in 2010. He was a devoted and loving husband, and he treasured the time they had together.
Louis enjoyed going to the racetrack and supporting his son Lou Hill Sr., and grandson, Lou Hill Jr., in their racing, and hanging with his “Bestie” granddaughter, Lindsey Hill.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Louis enjoyed Diet Coke, cookies and attending gun clubs.
He is survived by his children Bonny (Ron Jr.) Winland, of Fort Myers, Fla., John (Tammy) Hill, of Saint Augustine, Fla., Louis (Renee) Matthew Hill Sr., of Hambden, Nick (Crystal) Hill, of Marysville, Ohio, and Santanna (Zach Voelker) Hill, of Burton; grandchildren, Johnny, Louie, David, Lindsey, Kiara, Haley, Michael, Ethan; and great-granddaughter, Alaina.
Louis also leaves his brothers Kenny (Diane) and Karl (Susan) Nickerbacker; and sisters Karen (Wes) Searle and Lenoria Oliver, all of New York.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rev. Karen Hill; son Glen C. Hill; and brother Fred Hill.
The family will receive friends Dec. 18, 2021, from 12-2 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m.
Private family burial will be at a later date.
