Husband and father Michael Ianiro, age 62, of Chardon, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021. He was surrounded by his wife and children, who will continue to cherish and honor his memory and spirit.
Michael was the son of the late Raymond and Barbara Ianiro, and brother to the late Patricia Howson.
Michael was born in Akron, on July 19, 1960, and raised with sister Patricia in Chardon. He was a proud Buckeye, graduating Chardon High School in 1976 and The Ohio State University in 1980 with a degree in forestry management.
His career afforded him many great adventures, including lobster fishing in Maine, logging in Colorado, and international trade shows.
Michael loved to learn and share knowledge with others. He always ready with a fun fact. He holds two U.S. Patents for paper and minerals technologies, and has visited more than 50 countries.
Michael was an avid reader and was often found with a book or newspaper in hand. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, cycling and watching Saturday morning cartoons with his kids. He loved spending time with his children, and especially enjoyed traveling to logging shows with his son, Tanner.
Michael is loved and cherished by his wife of 24 years, Suzanne Ianiro. They married on May 21, 1994, and raised two children together, daughter Amelia Ianiro, and son Tanner Ianiro.
Also left to honor his memory are his mother, Barbara Ianiro; and nieces and nephews, Michelle (Scott) Nelson, Jonathan Houson, Rachel (Kyle) Korensek; lifelong friend, Helen Wilson; and in-laws, Hugo and Gail Rodrigez.
He is preceded in death by his older sister, Patricia Howson, on Nov. 12, 2021.
Family received guests in honor and memory of Patricia and Michael from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2021, at Munson Town Hall, 12210 Auburn Road, Munson Township.
