BURTON TWP. – Serafina Tirabasso, age 92, was born in Cleveland, to Anthony and Mary Capobianco on Aug. 20, 1923, and passed away at Blossom Hill Nursing Home on June 7, 2016, following a stroke on May 22.
Serafina was the beloved wife of Dominic Tirabasso, who predeceased her in 1999. Together, they were the loving parents of four children, Marie Lovas (Rodney), Susan Duncan (Donald), Charles (deceased), and Daniel (Judy).
Serafina was adored by her grandchildren: Anna, Dominic, Dawn, Marcus, William, Timothy, John and Michael (deceased); and her great-grandchildren, Milania, Giovanni and Andrew.
She had three sisters, Grace (deceased), Anna and Yolanda; and two brothers, Joseph and Frank, both deceased; and many loving nephews and nieces.
She was a member of the parish of the Church of St. Helen, Newbury Township, and had been employed by Picker X-ray, Mayfield, until her retirement.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 10 at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 11 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury, followed by interment at Slitor Cemetery, Burton Township.
