Ralph Clifford Mausling

Mausling, RalphGENEVA – Ralph Clifford Mausling, age 81, of Geneva, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife on May 30, 2016, at the Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg Township.

Ralph grew up and spent most of his life in Montville Township. He married his best friend and sweetheart, Carol Whitney, on May 25, 1957.

His journey through life included farming, tractors, sporting events and his ever-lasting love of family and friends.

His family includes his beloved wife of 58 years, Carol; daughters, Christine Ann (Patrick) Snyder, of Perry, Cynthia Eileen (Michael) Rutledge, of Loris, S.C., and Heidi Arlene (Tony) Napoli, of New Lyme, OHio; sons Thomas William (Kelly) Mausling, of Orwell, and Russell Franz (Lora) Mausling, of Wilmington, Ohio; grandchildren, Anna (Marc) Procopio, Alan Mausling, Dawn Brown, Spencer Mausling, Kevin Snyder, Bianca Snyder, Bethaney (Paul) Vacik, Timothy DeLisle, Adriana Napoli, Angelea Napoli, Kristy Rutledge, Kyle Rutledge and Isaiah; great-grandchildren, M.J. Procopio, Abbey Procopio, Aiden Hildebrand, Landon Jones, Kolton Brown and Carson Beatty; and sister Betty Harvey, of Garrettsville.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; parents, William and Elsie (nee Toussaint) Mausling; son Charles Ralph Mausling; brothers, William Mausling, Stuart Mausling, Kenneth Mausling; and sisters Charlotte Mansfield and Eleanor Morehouse.

Ralph served for the U.S. Army, where he was honorably discharged from the Ohio National Guard.

He retired from Lubrizol Corporation (22 years). He also drove school bus for Ledgemont Schools and previously worked at Coe Manufacturing.

Ralph was a member of the Geneva Senior Center, where he was in the “Off Our Rockers” band. He also belonged to the Trumbull County Antique Engine Club, where he enjoyed putting his antique tractor in parades and shows.

He loved playing pinochle, cornhole and watching the Indians and Cavaliers.

The family wishes to thank the Sanctuary of Geneva, Blossom Hill Care Center and Hospice of the Western Reserve for taking such loving care of their father.

Visitation is June 1, from 5-8 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St, Chardon.

Funeral service will be held June 2, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Montville Township Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
