Thomas W. Christlieb

WEST FARMINGTON – Thomas W. Christlieb, 69, a lifelong resident of West Farmington, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Heather Hill Care Center.

He was born on November 9, 1946, son of the late Thomas and Laverne A. (nee Klembarsky) Christlieb.

Thomas was a graduate of West Farmington High School, in 1964, and attended Kent State.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He worked at Black and Decker, for 20 years, and retired in 2009 from Sajar Plastics, in Middlefield, as an electrician.

Thomas was a former mayor of West Farmington. He served on the village council for many years and was a member of the West Farmington Volunteer Fire Department.

His hobbies included boating, riding his motorcycle and car shows.

He will be missed by his friends and family, including his beloved wife, Julia (Carroll) Christlieb, of 23 years; daughter, Tina (Roy) Cunningham, of Brunswick; sons, Richard, of West Farmington, and Henry, of Mesopotamia; grandchildren, Jessica Cunningham, Henry Christlieb II and Autumn Christlieb; and brothers, David (Nancy) Christlieb and Donald Christlieb, both of Bristolville.

His parents precede him in death.

Calling hours will be March 23, from 4-6 p.m., with a Celebration of Life following at 6 p.m. at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield.
