HIRAM – Zbigniew M. “Ziggy” Przybylski, 91 years of age, passed away Feb. 3, 2016, in Middlefield.
Born in Warsaw, Poland, on June 18, 1924, he was the son of the late Joseph and Veronica Przybylski. Formerly of Cleveland, he had been a resident of the Hiram area since 1954.
Ziggy had been employed as a machinist, plant protector and steward at White Motor Company in Cleveland, following which he worked for several years as a grounds cleaner for the City of Akron.
Ziggy loved gardening and farming his cows and pigs for many years, and will be remembered for his ability to share his political views with everyone.
He proudly served in the Polish National Alliance before coming to the United States.
On May 30, 1953, he married Angela Przybylski, who preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 2014.
Also preceding was his daughter Joanne Suster, in 1990.
Survivors include his daughters Teresa (James) Sargiovanni Jr., of Mantua, and Marcella (Robert) Kramer, of Parkman Township; and grandchildren, Jimmy, Maria, Antonio, Angela, Sarah and Michael.
Funeral services were held Feb. 6 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, in Mantua, at 12 p.m., with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time.
Officiating will be Rev. Edward Stafford of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mantua.
Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township.
