Dale H. Bissell

Dale H. Bissell, 70, most recently of Garland, Texas, died on Oct. 22, 2017.

Dale, born Oct. 31, 1946, was the oldest of three sons born to Herman and Lillian Bissell, of Burton. He was a 1965 graduate of Burton High School.

Dale was a U.S. Army veteran, a mason and a master plumber by trade. He served as plumbing inspector for various cities in Texas before his retirement.

He is survived by his son Rob and his granddaughter, Brittany, both of Clearwater, Fla.; and his beloved Aunt Jean Wellman and his cousin Mike Wellman, both of Garland, Texas.

He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Lillian Bissell, of Burton; son Tommy; brothers, Dane and Roger (Stubby); Uncle Bud Wellman; and cousin Louise Wellman, all originally from Geauga County.

Dale was a unique individual who loved life and had many friends in Ohio and Texas and wherever he went. He always was “The life of the party.” He will be missed by many.

A party celebrating Dale’s life will be held at Blazen Bill’s restaurant, U.S. Route 422, Troy Township, on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, from 2-5 p.m. Anyone who knew Dale is invited and should RSVP as soon as possible to 440-478-1209. Please leave a message.
