Joseph A. Misosky

MONTVILLE TWP. – Joseph “Joe” A. Misosky, age 89, of Montville Township, died Oct. 6, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Feb. 23, 1928, in Scalp Level, Pa., to Walter and Nellie (nee Esmont) Mzslowski, Joe has been in Ohio for nearly 70 years.

Joe was a very talented organist. He enjoyed wine making and was an accomplished craftsman. He built three of his homes and worked on many others.

He was a laborer for 30 years with the former Republic Steel in Cleveland. Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Joe is survived by his children Joseph Misosky, Carolyn Stauffer, Steven Misosky, David (Carolyn) Misosky and Susanne (Robert) Coe; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, C. Sue Misosky; parents; son, Thomas Misosky; and six siblings.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 2-6 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson Township. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Thompson.
