MIDDLEFIELD – Robert A. Braun, age 87, of Middlefield Village, died March 1, 2017, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center.
He was born in Davis, W. Va., on Aug. 17, 1929, to Emil and Nada (nee Buskirk) Braun.
Robert married Anita Augustin, in Ravenna, on May 18, 1961.
He advanced to the rank of Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean and Vietnam wars, and in Germany, for a 22-year career.
He had worked as a mold operator for the former S.K. Wellman in Bedford.
Survivors include his wife, Anita, of Middlefield Village; daughters, Dagmar (Wolfgang) Isbanner, and children Nichole and Mandy, of Frankfurt, Germany, and Pamela (David) Domos, and children Jenna, Delaney, Dylan, of Fairhope, Ala.; sons, Peter (Nessy) Gossman, and children Sonya and Jasmine, of Frankfurt, Germany, and Bob (former wife Lisa), and children Kelly and Caroline, of Aurora; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters and two brothers.
A visitation for family and friends will be March 4, from 3-5:30 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with a memorial service at 5:30 p.m.
