Alan Matthew Lanstrum

HAMBDEN TWP. – Alan Matthew Lanstrum, 35, of Hambden Township, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Tri-Pointe Medical Center in Concord Township.

He was born Nov. 20, 1981, in Painesville, to Adrian and Lisa (nee Jackson) Lanstrum.

Alan enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cooking, abstract art, science and spending time with his son, Elijah.

He was a man who spoke his mind.

A lifelong resident of Geauga County, Alan worked for Hi Tech Extrusions in Chardon.

He will be sadly missed by his son, Elijah Matthew Lanstrum; mother, Lisa Lanstrum; significant other, Sarah Malec; brother, Craig (Jennie) Lanstrum; maternal grandmother, Beverly Speer; aunt, Jill (Joe) Colizloi; uncles, George (Karen) Lanstrum and Jack Jackson; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Ashby Jackson, George and Caroline Lanstrum, and Marvin Speer.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 at Chardon V.F.W. Hall, 752 Water St., Chardon, where a celebration of his life will follow at 4:30 p.m.
