CHARDON – Jason Strauser, age 26, of Chardon, passed away Dec. 14, 2016, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
Born May 21, 1990, in Cleveland, to Ronald and Shelli (nee McHugh) Strauser, he had been a lifelong area resident.
Jason was a graduate of Chardon High School, Class of 2008, and was an accomplished wrestler for the Hilltoppers. He attended Kent State University and currently worked at Euclid Spring in Wickliffe.
Jason was an intelligent, kind-hearted soul and had a love of animals. He had a passion for all music and enjoyed attending concerts and music festivals, but his greatest joy was spending time with his entire family.
Survivors include his parents; siblings, Stephen, of Louisville, Ky., and Dillon, of Parris Island, S.C.; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Carol (nee Kadis) McHugh, of Mentor; maternal great-grandmother, Frances (nee Cotman) Kadis, of Wickliffe; aunts, Judy Rini and Kelly Pavelec; uncles, David Strauser and David (Renee) McHugh; and cousins, Nick Rini, Rachel and Sarah Strauser, Corryn and Alyssa McHugh, and Brianna Pavelec.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orville and Jean (nee Smith) Strauser.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, followed by a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
