William Joseph Coleman, age 90, beloved husband for of the late Wanda Lee (nee Allison); loving father of Steve (Kim), John (Dawn), and Rick (Beverly); devoted grandfather of Allison (Nick) Warmbrunn, Darcy (Joe) Cataldo, Ben (Stephanie), Will (Kelsey), Hannah (Trey) Barbee, Josie (Nate) Adkison, and Luke and great-grandfather of 11; cherished son of the late Jean (Charles, deceased) Dardaris (nee Phillips) and son-in-law of John and Blanche Allison; grandson of the late Joseph and Josephine Phillips; treasured companion of his dog Gabby.
After losing his wife of 58 years, William was blessed with his Spiritual wife Patricia Siegenthaler; her children Mark (Kim) Zanneti, Carla Huffacker and Patty (Paul) Trentanelli; and grandchildren whom he adored like his own.
Bill was born on Nov. 20, 1933, in Fort Monroe, Va. Shortly after his grandfather’s passing, the family relocated to Philadelphia, where he graduated from Roman Catholic High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.
After serving his country, Bill began his legendary 40-plus year career in Washington, D.C., with GE Capital, where he would eventually retire as vice president. As he advanced through his career, Bill raised his family in Maryland, Virginia, New York, Connecticut and Florida.
Bill was an avid golfer, sports fan and grew to love the Cleveland Guardians.
