THOMPSON TWP. – Sandra L. Evans, age 66, of Thompson Township, passed away and joined her loving husband, Richard, on Oct. 3, 2016, at her home.
Born Jan. 14, 1950, in Chardon, to Alvie and Sylvia (nee Johnson) Reed, she had been a longtime area resident.
Sandra L. Reed married Richard L. Evans on Feb. 18, 1978, in Thompson. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 2010.
Sandy enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques and crafts.
Her greatest joy was loving and doting on her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Danny (Keri) Evans, of Burton, Renee (Randy) Myers, of Dillwyn, Va., and Robin (Anthony) Girard, of Andover; grandchildren Kaylee, Case and Adrianna Evans, and Aubrey Myers; step-grandchildren, Randy (Holly), Rachel and Josh Myers; step-great-grandchildren, Rylie and Brooklyn Myers; siblings Danny (Kimberly) Reed of Chardon, Randy Reed of LeRoy and Debby (Conrad) Fox of LeRoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; grandson Evan Myers; and sister Martha Niro.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Oct. 6 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 7 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
