CLARIDON TWP. – Margaret A. (nee Foster) Koschki, age 98, of Claridon Township, passed away peacefully at home Aug. 21, 2016.
Born April 6, 1918, in Rising Sun, Ohio, to Charles W. and Belva L. (nee Milligan) Foster.
Margaret married Mike Koschki on May 5, 1945, in Cleveland, before moving to Claridon in 1952.
In 1943, she was in the first class of the United States Cadet Nurse Corp. and eventually became an LPN and practiced nursing for many years to come.
Because of her love of music, she studied in Japan and spent many of her later years teaching piano and violin.
She was also an avid gardener with an extraordinary green thumb.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Cathy A. Koschki; son, Michael “Kim” (Barbara) Koschki; grandson, Christopher Koschki; brother Dick Foster; and many nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; and brothers Charles and Robert.
Visitation will be held Aug. 25, from 4-8 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with a funeral service on Aug. 26 at 11 a.m. at Burr Funeral Home, with burial following at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
