CHARDON – Daniel M. McLeod, of Chardon, passed away Aug. 13, 2016, at the age of 68.
Dan will be missed by his wife of 39 years, Sandy (nee Kuhn); and children, Courtney (Todd) Lorenz, Erin (Ryan) Kevern and Keith McLeod.
He was the loving grandfather of Tommy, Madelyn and Kamryn Kevern.
He also is survived by his mother, Ruth McLeod, siblings, David (Bonnie) McLeod, Barbara (Craig) McCoy, Dennis (Rebecca) McLeod and Dottie McLeod; and many nieces and nephews.
Dan graduated from Nordonia High School in 1965. He was the owner/operator of Chardon Lakes Inn & Gilded Cock Tavern, of Chardon, from 1972 to 1990, and Riders Tavern, of Painesville.
He retired as president of Troy Innovative Instruments, in Middlefield, in 2014.
His favorite hobby was officiating football, which he did for 40 years, and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Aug. 18 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
A celebration of life will be held at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon, at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 19.
The family would like to thank Holly Hill Nursing Home and Hospice of the Western Reserve for their loving care.

Dan fought the brave fight with Parkinson’s for many years.
