Christine “Beezer” Ann Chesnes, age 41, of Chardon, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 16, 2023.

She was born Feb. 24, 1981, in Chardon, to Charles P. and Diane (nee Green) Chesnes.

After graduating from Chardon High School, Christine attended Columbus State Community College before transferring to the University of Cincinnati.

Christine was a chef by trade and by passion. She savored taking culinary risks as well as recreating traditional family recipes with her own unique spin.

She was happiest frolicking with her animals and people, gardening, foraging and enjoying all the splendor Mother Nature provided. With the eye of an artist, Christine had a gift of finding beauty in the most mundane, in the kitchen, on a sketch pad, with paint or in her own breathtaking photographs.

In addition, she had the uncanny ability to recognize the needs of others and made great efforts to encourage a feeling of comfort, value and love.

Her zest for life and laughter were contagious. Be it family, friend, acquaintance or stranger, her humor, wit and compassionate heart left an indelible mark on anyone who had the privilege to share her company. Family, friends, love, laughter, beauty and peace were the foundations upon which she built her life.

Christine is survived by her partner in love and life, Robert “Rob” Schnittger; her loving parents; brother, Chuck (Gina) Chesnes, of Mt. Morris, N.Y.; and sister, Cheryl Chesnes, of Chardon.

She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special friends. Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved rescue fur babies: Duncan, Oria, Rainey, Bubbles, Kippy and precious Prince.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles (aka Casmir) and Anna Mae (nee Hart) Chesnes; William and Colletta (nee Jaros) Green; Linda Green; Richard (Rick) Green.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Jan. 20, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 21, 2023, at Morningstar Friends Church, 12550 Ravenna Road, Munson Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your local animal shelter or rescue.

Arrangements made by the Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chardon. Information and condolences online at www.burrservice.com.
