HARTSGROVE TWP. – Keith R. Mittower, age 66, of Hartsgrove Township, passed away July 20, 2016, at his home.
Born Feb. 27, 1950, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Franklin and Rachel (nee McLaughlin) Mittower, he had been a lifelong area resident.
Keith was a proud alumni of Chardon High School, playing football in the late 1960s.
He served in the Army National Guard, after which he worked for Prudential Insurance for 20 years as a sales manager and 22 years at KeyBank as a business banker.
Keith was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, especially with his son-in-law and grandchildren in Cape San Blas, Fla.
Keith married Lisa Rochow on Feb. 11, 1994, in Chardon. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Keith will be remembered for his happiness, sense of humor and the joy given to his family until the end.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Rochow), of Hartsgrove; daughters Kristen (Chad) Bass, of Chardon, Jennifer Mittower, of Columbus, and Kathryn (Christian) Homlish, of New York; grandchildren, Jacob, Owen, Ryan, Leah and Juliana Bass, and Cecilia Homlish; mother, Rachel (nee McLaughlin) Mittower, of Chardon; siblings, Cheryl (Mike) Noble, of Hambden Township, and Barb (Arnold) Mallory, of Michigan; lifelong friend Willie Clifton; and many extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Mittower; and daughter Allison Mittower.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. July 24 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, followed by a 7 p.m. funeral service at the funeral home.
The family and friends are asked to meet at Claridon Center Cemetery on Monday, July 25, at 10 a.m.
