Alice R. (nee Teichman) Carey-Miller peacefully moved on Thursday, July 14,2016. She was born Aug. 6, 1921.
Alice leaves behind her sister Marge Cornish; children, Patricia Dobay, Gene Carey and Phyllis Paulitsch; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews. She loved all of then dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Teichman; brothers, Joseph and James Teichman; sisters Teresa Merva and Helen Valichnac; grandson Dale Dobay; great-grandson Alex Dobay; and husbands, Edward R. Carey and Benjamin W. Miller.
Alice was proud to be of Czech decent, growing up in Newbury Township, then moving to Troy Township in 1942.
She was employed at the Welshfield Inn for many years.
Alice enjoyed her polka music and splitting her time between Florida and Ohio.
Words cannot express how much she will be missed.
The family will be having a celebration of life at 16986 Mumford Road, Burton, on Aug. 6, 2016, at 3 p.m.
