MIDDLEFIELD – Arlo W. Jemison, age 75, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully in her home on Aug. 11, 2022, surrounded by family.
She was born on Nov. 17, 1946, in Middlefield, to parents Arlene (nee Caslow) Woodworth and Ivan Woodworth.
Arlo attended Cardinal High School and was very active in the choirs, bands, cheerleading, various sports and 4-H. She was also Miss Swiss Miss in 1964.
Arlo attended The Ohio State University and went on to work for Reynolds Insurance Co. and Mercury Plastics in Middlefield for decades where she took on planning and organizing some of their festivities.
She took great pleasure in camping with her boys when they were young, and later on cooking and gardening. She loved spending holidays with family. She was her mother’s sole caregiver for 30 years.
Arlo is survived by her loving children, Scott (Kelly) Bitner, Brian Bitner (Katie Wilson) and Tracy (Christine) Jemison II; grandchildren, Lyndsey Kosarko, Nova Kaisor Bitner, Elle Jemison, Adley Jemison; and soon-to-come great-grandbaby, Kosarko. She is also survived by her sister, Julie Schwartz.
Arlo is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Douglas Woodworth.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at her home, 14972 Linda Ave., Middlefield. Friends and family are invited to visit.
