Emily Kathleen Henson, age 39, the beloved daughter of Bill and Susan Henson, was born on Feb. 12, 1983, and died Aug. 2, 2022.
She lived with her parents and was a lifelong resident of Geauga County.
Emily attended Metzenbaum School, graduating in 2005. She later participated in adult day programing at MSI and SunRaise.
Throughout her life, Emily coped with multiple health issues, but she maintained a positive and loving attitude. Her aunt described Emily as “a happy soul.”
Emily enjoyed interacting with her friends and family. She liked taking walks and rides with her parents. She loved music, laughter and mashed potatoes. She was the joy of her parents’ lives.
In addition to her parents, Emily will be missed by her friends and neighbors; her aunts and uncles, Jon and Jane Kopke and Bynum and Shirley Henson, and cousins, Bynum (Darcy) Henson and Heidi (Soren) Stamer, and their families.
A private service will be held at a later date.
