ROME TWP. – Thomas P. Heller, age 52, of Rome Township, passed away July 6, 2016, at his home.
Born Nov. 14, 1963, in Geneva, to George and Patricia (nee Cugini) Heller, he had been a lifelong area resident.
Tom passionately loved every aspect of his life: his wife, his children, his family and his endless amount of friends.
He had a special connection with God’s creation, enjoying fresh air, planting trees, building camp fires, fishing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and listening to good music.
Tom took pride in hard work and always lending a helping hand.
His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and children.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kathleen (nee Hallahan), of Rome; children, Rebecca, Trisha, Tamara and Evan; siblings, Nancy (Maury) Petrak, Larry (Debbie), Peggy (Mike) Wilkinson, Billy (Carol) and Bobby (Denise); and many extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be starting at 1 p.m. July 10 at the town square in Thompson Township.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. July 11 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson.
Private family burial will take place.
