Judith Ann Ruggiero (nee Woodford), age 73, passed away Oct. 26, 2021, in Youngstown.
She was born in Cleveland, on Dec. 30, 1947, to Kenneth and Thelma Woodford, and then moved to the Girard area in 1948, where she was raised and lived there until she married her husband, Donald Ruggiero, on Aug. 30, 1968.
For 35 years, Judy was an auditor for United Healthcare.
After Donald’s retirement from GM Lordstown, they moved to Put-In-Bay, where they lived. They were married 50 years until his passing in May of 2019. She then moved back to Girard, to be closer to family.
Judy loved quilting, sewing, her many dogs and cats and mostly loved Lake Erie.
She is survived by her sisters, Linda (Bill) McKernan, Debbie Radek and Lori (Jeff) Cramer; and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Vernon’s Café, 720 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles. The family will then receive friends following the service until 3 p.m.
