HAMBDEN TWP. – Marguerite “Margie” H. (nee Forte) Cerankosky, age 89, of Hambden Township, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness, peacefully at home on March 15, 2022.
Born May 24, 1932, in Cleveland, to V. James and Vincenzina (nee Meletti) Forte, she was a longtime resident of Richmond Heights before moving to Hambden 12 years ago.
She was the loving spouse of 65 years of Charles E. Cerankosky; loving and devoted mother of Charles Jr., (Debbie, nee Koehler), Robert (Lisa, nee Nissman) and Karen Dauenhauer (Mike); loving grandmother of Charles III (Allie), Brittany Williams (Pierre), Katelyn, Selene, Brad, Gabriel and Zachary; and great-grandmother of four, Sofie, Raine, Rhodes and Otis.
She was preceded in death by siblings Mary, Jerome, Theresa, Italo (killed in action World War II), Evelyn and James.
The family thanks our loving caregivers, Kathy, Wendy and Kim, and the Mentor team of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. March 21, 2022, at New Testament Baptist Church, 12199 Claridon Troy Road, Claridon Township, with burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on March 20, 2022, at the Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Home (located within DeJohn Funeral Home), 126 South St., Chardon.
