Lawrence Leroy Berkebile

SPRINGBORO, PA – Lawrence “Larry” Leroy Berkebile, age 82, of Springboro, Pa., formerly of Chardon, passed away on Dec. 22, 2021, after a long illness.

Born Feb. 13, 1939, to Lawrence “Bud” Arthur Berkebile and Dorothy E. (nee Curry) Berkebile in Cleveland, Larry served in the United States Army.

He retired after 50 years as a foreman for Euclid Spring Company.

He was a man of many talents and enjoyed creating stained glass, racing and restoring vintage cars, woodworking, and painting. He was also a big outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine (Adams) Berkebile; son, Kenneth Berkebile (Mimi); daughter, Darlene Berkebile-Hough (Jon); grandchildren, Melissa Berkebile-Ward (John), Jessica Berkebile, Savannah Hough and Searra Hough; and great-granddaughter, Wren Ward.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Arthur and Dorothy E. Berkebile.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 18, 2022, at the Chardon VFW, 752 Chardon Road, Chardon, from 4-8 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held the following day at 11 a.m. on May 19, 2022, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Township.
