MIDDLEFIELD – Faye Mihalisin, age 89, of Middlefield, Faye left for her heavenly home to join the love of her life for 70 years, her late husband Michael, and their beloved dog Tiki.
Mike preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2020. She also was preceded by her parents, the late Clate Plumbley and Faith Clark Swaney.
Faye worked for Reynolds Insurance in Middlefield for 20 years and served on the Middlefield Village Board of Zoning Appeals for several years. She was a volunteer and auxiliary member for the Geauga Hospital for 30 years.
She loved to travel, and she and her husband visited Europe and the British Isles many times. Ireland was her favorite. They also toured all the United States except for Alaska. They spent the last 40 years wintering in Florida, first in Marathon and later in Bradenton at River Isles.
Faye so much enjoyed their Bradenton Lunch Bunch and socializing with her many friends there. Other favorite pastimes both in Florida and at home in Middlefield included playing cards with friends, golfing, bowling, reading and oil painting.
A self-described “people person,” she often said she never met a stranger.
