CHARDON TWP. – Barbara A. Malise, age 83, of Chardon Township, passed away April 16, 2021, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
She was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Cleveland, to Joseph and Mary (nee Bottesch) Metz. She was a longtime area resident.
Barbara was married to Martin “Marty” Malise Sr. for 61 years. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Barbara was an excellent cook. She loved shopping, jewelry, baking, ceramics, painting and making afghans. She enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music and loved having gatherings with friends and family.
Most of all, she loved watching her children play sports and being involved in their lives.
Barbara is survived by her children Daniel, of Olmsted Falls, Andrew, of Mentor, Karen Pike, of Chardon, Jim (Donna), of Painesville and Suzie (Jack) Cosgriff, of Mentor; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Martin “Marty” Malise Jr.; and brother, Robert (Virginia) Metz.
Private family services were held.
