Robert Neil Rugg died March 5, 2021, at his home. Robert “Bob” was the son of Richard and Betty Rugg, of Russell Township.
Bob attended Russell School and West Geauga Schools.
After leaving West Geauga, he became a baker for Stop & Shop. He put himself all out for the holidays, baking all kinds of pastries. Later, he decided to paint automobiles. When they left the garage once again being very proud of his work, they looked just like new.
Later in life, Bob went back to the West Geauga school district, becoming a maintenance man for all four schools.
Bob retired in 2016. He loved going on Carnival Cruises, somewhere around 20. He also loved hosting large parties at his home, clambakes, steer roasts and football parties.
His last few years were not as good. His health began failing rapidly. At this time, his best friend Char and her dog moved in to help take care of Bob. He lived out his life with Char and her dog, and his dog Chole.
