Dawn Marie Rittwage (nee Gibaldi), age 60, died Jan. 27, 2021. She was born in Garfield Heights on July 5, 1960, and was a lifelong resident of Chardon. She graduated from Chardon High School, Class of 1978.
Dawn married Matthew Karl Rittwage, in Chardon, on Nov. 24, 1984. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2012.
Dawn loved to dance and sing. She loved her family above all. Everyone that has met her can say that she leaves a lasting impression of love and light.
She was a caregiver and a homemaker amongst other talents throughout her life. She will forever be remembered by her beautiful and contagious smile.
Dawn is survived by her daughters, Danielle Walters and Amanda (Matthew) Bacon, both of Chardon; siblings, Vincent Gibaldi, of Middlefield, Susan (Mitch) Williams, of Rock Creek, Lisa Gibaldi, of Chardon, and Lynn (Robert) French, of Concord Township; and nephews, Mitch Williams, Jesse Williams, Jared William and Brandon French.
Dawn was preceded in death by her husband; and parents, Vincenzo and Jaclyn (nee Dolezal) Gibaldi.
There will be a “stop & go” visitation to pay your respects because of the Covid issue. Masks and social distancing protocols will be in place. This will be on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, from 5-8 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 116 South St., Chardon.
A private service for immediate family only will follow at 8 p.m.
Interment will be in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
