Thomas Ralph Durham passed away June 21, 2020, in hospice care from cancer and heart failure. His partner, Ms. Tobie Bridewell, was with him to the end.

Tom was the son of Ralph G. Durham and Nancy Durham (nee Stewart). He was born May 27, 1952, and grew up in Troy Township, Geauga County.

Tom graduated from Berkshire High School and went on to live and work for many years in Middlefield. One of his early jobs was with the Hunt Telephone Co. His uncle Tom Stewart got Tom the opportunity to work in Montana a few summers in his youth, working with a Montana outfitters operation, and he also became a member of the Montana Indian Forest Fire Fighters Service.

Years later, when an opportunity arose, he moved to Montana. Always the outdoorsman, Tom loved hunting and fishing.

When he retired, he moved to Oregon near the Columbia River. His request was to have his remains placed at a favored site — Otter Rock — on the west coast.

Tom leaves his mother, Nancy; sister, Donna E. Brown, of Newbury Township; son, Thomas Richard Durham, of Champion, Ohio; and daughter, Brittany Nasca, of Willoughby.

The family suggests remembrances of Tom go to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
