Feliks Wolanin, age 85, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Born Nov. 7, 1934, in Poland, he had resided in Chester Township since 1975.
Feliks was an engineer with General Electric for 41 years and a member of ELFUN.
He was a proud alumnus of Case Institute of Technology, class of 1970, and a member of the Case Alumni Association.
An avid golfer, he loved gardening and sports, especially soccer.
Feliks’ most treasured time was spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren who were his pride and joy(as well as the family pets).
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maria (nee Antczak); sons, John S. and Dr. Andre F. (Dina); daughter, Anne-Marie E. (Andrew) Connors; grandchildren, James and Cameron Connors, and Nina and Andi Wolanin; and sisters, Maria Wierzba and Genia Grabowski.
Feliks is preceded in death by his parents, John and Stefania (nee Stec) Wolanin; sisters, Wladyslawa Kotwica and Bronislawa Kowski; and beloved uncle, John Stec.
Private Mass of Christian Burial will be livestreamed at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at www.stanselm.org and on the St. Anselm Church Facebook page.
Private interment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
A memorial celebration of Feliks’ life will be announced at a later date.
