TROY TWP. – Carla Sue Hosmer, age 73, of Troy Township, died at her home on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.
She was born in Athens, Ohio, on Oct. 6, 1946, to John Robert and Mary Ellen (nee Ogg) Goodfellow, and was a graduate of Athens High School.
Carla has lived in Troy since 1970 and was a homebody. She enjoyed pop and contemporary music, her cats, Ohio State University football and watching the QVC network.
Survivors include her daughters, Denise (Doug) Davis, of Tomball, Texas, and Dawn (Ryan) Runyon, of Magnolia, Texas; grandchildren, Brandy Welch, Amber Welch, Erick (Deia) Molbert and Jacob Davis; sister, Sharon Oehlers, of Bryan, Texas; brother, Charles “Chuck” Goodfellow, of Summerville, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carla is also survived by her loving companion of 27 years, Mark Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her father; mother; stepfather, Pearl Edgar “Ack” Ackley; and sister, Shirley Barr Blake.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to her caregivers, Aden and Miriam Miller, for many years of friendship, encouragement and support.
Private family services have been held.
