MONTVILLE TWP. – Rocco Anthony DiFranco Sr., age 76, died unexpectedly at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, on March 27, 2020, following an auto accident on March 24, 2020.
Born March 9, 1944, in East Cleveland, to Anthony and Nancy (nee Salvia) DiFranco, he has been a Montville Township resident since 1969.
Rocco was active on the Montville Township Fire Department for 30 years, having held every office from firefighter/EMT to chief.
He loved cooking and working on vehicles, especially with his brothers.
He has been the electrical supervisor for Home Depot for 21 years, with the Highland Heights, Cleveland Heights, Chardon and Mentor stores.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Rose (nee Leanza) DiFranco, whom he married Sept. 7, 1964; children, Christine DiFranco, of Mayfield Heights, Rosemary DiFranco Carver, of Middlefield, Rocco A. (Lisa) DiFranco Jr., of Naperville, Ill., Mario (Stephanie) DiFranco, of Montville, and Anthony (Kimberly) DiFranco, of Chardon; and grandchildren, Brittany (Chuck) Glogouski, Kevin Carver, Jacob and Nicholas DiFranco, Mariana, Makenzie and Delayne DiFranco, and Tawnee Miller.
Rocco also leaves his brothers, Anthony (Dawn), Dominic (JoEllen) DiFranco; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Angela.
Due to the CDC and Ohio Department of Health recommendations for COVID-19, the funeral service and burial will be private family only.
